·     Reflection

If I were to describe myself though these images, it honestly shows that I prepare and plan prior to what I plan to do but end up making mediocre choices. As result, I took last minute photos of my surroundings after my eye appointment. It also shows how seldom I leave the house unless needed to (such as school and in this case, an eye appointment). That was my only opportunity of going in a location that shows more interesting views compared to school or home.

·       Although it was not my intent to take photos in this location, I just took photos of what looked pretty to me even if there's trash or something you see everyday- trees/water/grass. Nature's playground is here and I just tried to focus and capture the way the natural settings coexist to create or display different perspectives of people around. So for me, I was fascinated on a content level of how beautiful the river looked as it was kissed by the sun. And the land surrounding it just tones well and it's just literal natural beauty. Viewers may notice that the bright green leaves with tints of yellow shows that summer's leaving and autumn is here type feel. Also the city buildings and constructions is more synthetic and gives a modern-sleek look. It may show stability, more organized and evokes more of a left-type brain kinda visual

·       I never really thought of a favorite place that is local to me. The ones that pop up in my head is very cliche but my bedroom because it's just basically my comfort and power-up zone. I'm most content when I'm resting in bed especially after a long time of bad posture in small-cramped crowded rooms.

Also light is essential to HDR. If there was not sun..cloudy day it would pretty much just make the environment dull and low contrast. Times where it's evenings enhances shadows and dark shady areas along with light areas from hitting surfaces that faces the sun or source of light.

What I really like about this photo is the plants. It maybe small but it stood out because everything else in the photo is all structural and the plant is natural and abstract compared to the solid walls and bricks. The blue sky contrasting with the red brick wall seperate by the more sandy building adds a nice touch in the photo. It's simple and kinda nice.

I'm not even sure what this is but I really like the enhanced shades of green that turned out in the photo. It looks almost like pastels, after editing the pictures it came out really nice. The image just pops and honestly I think that after editing photos the outcome looks nicer than the actual object originally. It's almost like surreal and more vivid state of photography.

I think I like this photo best because searching around the school to take photos of for this assignment is easy, it's just trying to find a spot with nice visuals. The school is pretty neutral and plain and I just decided to stay in the art hallways. So this is right outside of class and I just liked how the area had a bit of light coming inside along with reflections of the hallway and of course the big canvas with a variety of colors on it. It's a perfect opportunity to take advantage of the lights, medium and dark shadows and tones on the photo. I really liked the cool effects of increasing saturation slightly on the paint and fading the yellow and blue tints and hues in the photo. So like you either look at the light or part of that metal thing first or the paint then look at the other things. Idk I think it's kinda cool.

Casinos

Etc

May suddenly trigger memories or flashbacks whether it's pleasant, sad, exciting, confusing etc. Makes me feel like I relive the moment or have a brief thought or feeling from it. Any place or thing gives a connection personally whether it's the root or underlying object to unlock the memory connection or just comes and goes and leaves little feeling.

Notes on HDR photography
HDR = High Dynamic Range
Take 3+ pictures of same scene
Each w different shutter speeds
Results in bright medium dark photo
Once combined
Use software like
Photoshop or photomatrix
To process and combine the photos
Increasing details, highlights and shadows

Need- tripod // camera

Avoid-
Ghosts//ghost like image result. Not aligned. . Keep camera stable x still
Halos// usually at bright areas x may hide at shadows too.. Reduce micro contrast
Inverted contrast// the dark and lights of img = almost like opposites. = ugly result. Reduce contrast
Noise// high noises makes increase shadows. Too much. Reduce noise

HDR is available in video too

Doesn't have to be artificial looking

Merges different exposures together

Practice trust eye patience

I am amazed by vibrant tropical life captured in this photo. The way the golden sand is presented with crisp detail along with everything else in the photo displays great

I like this that the trees are reflected by the pond with detail along with the skies. How the flowers close and trees and mountain from a far distance are captured with the final result of an overall clear and detailed photo with all the subjects in it.

The church from ceiling to windows to ground is all so radiant. The fine details if the reflection from light, windows and everything is so amazing. It's like I'm almost there because it's so surreal.

I like how the city and the natural part of earth coexist in this photo. The water reflects the cloudy sky and some reflection of the water plants looks very nice and clear. The small details from the individual window colors in the buildings to small lights in others with rooftop color to different shades of green in the leaves me impressed.

I like this photo because the building isn't like a typical building, it's like kinda almost a triangle sorta. And I've also visited this area and took a photo of the same building. The details in he windows are amazing and the clarity of the building exteriors and details are also really nice.

This photo consists of outside and inside along with the interior objects and a light source from the lamp and also the natural light from the sun. It's all coexisting in a way and it's a little bit of everything in a photo. Also it's really good how the photographer got the brighter part of the picture (outside) and darker (inside especially curtains) composed together as a clear image result. Even the cast shadows are there and it just looks like a painting it's really nice and I like the variety of colors tones and things in the photo

First post

This is a photo I took at the Poconos. I am pleased with this picture I took because I really enjoy the still call pool. Also because I'm at a very boring location and being in a blue walled indoor pool in a dull area is really nice. Finding a vibrant yet calm serene area while in a place that you have no interest for is a wonderful feeling. Being in a visually pleasing place and capturing the place to hold onto is like a little happy memory you experience and enjoy with with yourself
